I have written more than 200 articles and reports on digital preservation for the Library of Congress and the American Library Association. I wrote “The Library of Congress and Personal Digital Archiving” for Personal Archiving: Preserving Our Digital Heritage. Information Today, Inc. (October 28, 2013). 

I have two degrees in music and have written music-related articles for newspapers and scholarly journals. I have worked in both Washington, D.C., and Silicon Valley, and I am adept at translating academese, bureaucratese, and engineer-speak into plain English. 

I'm also an amateur mushroom hunter, and I live in Northern California with my family.
